Guru Nanak Mobile Care

You can find us at Iqbal Ganj 2nd Cross, over in the Mahalakshmipuram Layout area. The shop is pretty small, just a narrow space where we keep all the spare parts and the soldering irons. At Guru Nanak Mobile Care, we spend a lot of time squinting at tiny motherboards and trying to find screws that fell on the floor. It’s a bit messy, to be honest. There are boxes of old batteries and broken screens stacked in the corner because we haven't gotten around to clearing them out yet. The neighbors at the tea stall next door usually bring us a cup around mid-morning. It’s a busy street, so there’s always the sound of scooters and people shouting outside. We get a lot of folks coming in with phones they dropped in water or screens that just went black. We don't talk much while we work, mostly just focusing on the tools. Sometimes the kids from the layout come in asking for the latest tempered glass or a cheap pair of earphones. We try to stay organized but when you have fifty phones waiting for parts, it gets a little hectic. The desk is scarred with burn marks from the heat guns we use. It isn't the most glamorous job, sitting in a dim room for ten hours, but we’ve been here long enough that everyone knows where to find us. We close up when the street lights come on and the shops around us start to shut their shutters.
