Blue Moon Fabrics is located over at 18, Sunder Nagar in Ludhiana. If you know the area, it's pretty easy to find. We’ve got stacks of fabric everywhere, sometimes it feels like there’s barely enough room to walk between the aisles. We handle all sorts of textiles, mostly stuff that goes out to local shops and tailors. Sunder Nagar is a busy spot, so there’s always something going on outside our door. It gets loud with the traffic and the people passing by. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of the time, the floor is covered in scraps and thread. It’s a mess, but we know where everything is. We’ve been in Ludhiana for a long time now. The city is known for this kind of work, so we fit right in. My cousin helps out with the deliveries, and we have a couple of helpers for the heavy lifting. The summer heat makes the warehouse pretty stuffy, but we just keep the doors open. We don't do any big marketing campaigns or have a slick website. People usually hear about us through word of mouth. It’s just a simple business. We buy fabric, we store it, and we sell it. Nothing more to it than that. Sometimes we get some interesting patterns in, but mostly it's just the basic stuff people need for their clothes. We keep it moving every day.
