Bector Rice Mills

We are out in Village Jaspalon, right near Doraha in the Ludhiana district. Bector Rice Mills is where we spend all our time. The air always smells a bit like grain around here. It’s a rural spot, and the pace of life is a bit different than in the city. We work according to the seasons mostly. When the harvest comes in, things get very frantic. The mill runs for long hours and we all have to pitch in. It’s a lot of manual labor and watching over the machinery. We don't have a big marketing department or polished videos. We just have the mill and the grain. Sometimes the power goes out or a belt breaks, and we have to fix it ourselves. That’s just how it goes in a place like Doraha. We’ve been here for years, and the building shows its age a bit. But it’s a solid place. We handle a lot of rice, moving it from the fields to the bags. It’s hard work, and we usually go home tired and covered in dust. We don’t talk much about vision or stuff like that. We just focus on getting the rice processed and out the door. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours, and we’ve been doing it a long time. People around the village know us well by now. We just try to keep the machinery running and the floors swept.
