Balwinder Building Material Store

Located in Hargobind Nagar, our yard is filled with the usual stuff you need if you're putting up a wall or fixing a roof. We have piles of bricks, sand, and bags of cement sitting around in different sections. It’s a straightforward operation where people from the local area pull up their carts or trucks to load what they need for their home projects. We get a lot of dust on our clothes and the yard can get pretty muddy when it rains, but that’s just how it is with building materials. We try to keep things organized so we can find what a customer wants quickly. Sometimes we have to wait on deliveries from the suppliers, which can be a bit of a headache, but we manage to stay supplied. There isn't much to the shop besides the small office and the storage space. We know a lot of the masons and contractors who work around this part of town. They come in early in the morning to get their supplies before starting their day's work. We don't do much advertising; people just know we're here in the neighborhood. It’s a lot of manual labor, counting out bricks and making sure the sand loads are right for the weight of the truck. We just keep our heads down and serve the people who come by every day to pick up their materials.
