Amrik Singh & Bros. You can find us at 1019 Partap Chowk. We’ve been right here on Link Road for quite a long time. It’s a family thing, just like the name says. The chowk is always bustling with people and trucks. You get a lot of dust from the road, but that’s just part of being in this area. We usually have a few different things going on at the same time. It’s not a quiet place. There are always hammers hitting something or the sound of the welder. We don’t really do big advertising; people just know we’re here by the link road. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when it’s not too busy, watching the traffic go by. The shop is full of old tools and bits of metal we’ve kept over the years. It has a specific smell of oil and iron. We don’t have a secretary or anyone to answer phones in a professional way. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. We do what needs to be done. If a job is tough, we figure it out as we go. It’s the kind of place where you get what you see. No frills. We value our regulars who have been coming to us since our father’s time. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us and the people around Partap Chowk. We just keep our heads down and work.
