If you come down to Partap Nagar in Industrial Area-B, you’ll find us on 9th Lane. Amar Singh & Sons has been a family thing for a long time. The workshop is at number 10975. It’s an industrial area, so it’s always loud with the sound of machines and trucks coming through. We do a lot of different things here, mostly involving metal and parts. My brothers and I are usually in the middle of some project or another. The floor is usually covered in shavings, and there is always a smell of grease in the air. We don't have a fancy reception area or anything like that. People usually just walk in through the big doors and find one of us. We've had the same machines for years, and we know exactly how they behave. Sometimes they're temperamental, but we fix them ourselves. It’s a bit crowded with all the stock we keep, but we know where everything is. Living and working in the same area means we know everyone on the lane. We help each other out when someone’s short on a tool or needs an extra pair of hands. It’s not an easy life, working in the heat, but it’s what we’ve always done. We don't spend money on advertising; word of mouth is usually how people find us. We just keep our heads down and get the orders finished.
