Arora Palace

Our place is located near the Grain Market on Gill Road, which means there is always something happening outside. You can see the big trucks hauling sacks of grain past the entrance all day long. It gets quite dusty because of all that activity, so we are constantly wiping down the surfaces. The building itself is known as Arora Palace, though it’s just a practical space for us to do our work. Being near the market means we are in a very busy area, and the traffic on Gill Road can be a real headache during peak hours. We usually start the day early, around the same time the market workers get going. The interior is open and has plenty of room for whatever we happen to be doing that week. We don't bother with much decoration; it’s more about having the space to move around and get things done. Sometimes people get lost trying to find us because the market area is so big, but we just tell them to look for the grain trucks. The floor is concrete and shows a bit of wear and tear, but it holds up under the heavy boots and equipment. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for making tea, which is probably the most used part of the whole building. It’s a straightforward setup for people who just want to get on with things without any extra fuss or bother.
