Aquarius Mobile Shop

If you find yourself on Kochar Market Road 5, near Vallabh Bhai Road, you’ll see our small spot, Aquarius Mobile Shop. It’s mostly just me and a few tools for fixing cracked screens and broken charging ports. The counter is usually covered in tiny screws, bits of tape, and pieces of plastic from phones I’ve taken apart during the day. It’s a messy job, but I’ve gotten used to it over the years. We sell basic things like chargers, cheap headphones, and those colorful phone cases that the younger kids like. The shop isn't very big at all, so if three people come in at once, it feels incredibly crowded and hot. I spend a lot of my time hunched over a small workbench under a very bright lamp. My eyes get quite tired by the end of the day from looking at those tiny circuit boards. People come in with phones that have been dropped in water or screens that are completely smashed to pieces. I try my best to get them working again, but sometimes the parts are just too expensive or unavailable. It’s a noisy street with plenty of people shouting and trucks honking their horns constantly. I keep a small television in the corner to pass the time when no one is around to talk to. We don’t have a big sign out front, just a hand-painted one that is starting to peel. Sometimes I have to close up for an hour to go find specific parts from other dealers nearby. It’s a simple way to make a living.
