I have been at Shop No 3 on Shingar Cinema Road for quite a while now. Being in Sarabha Nagar means there is always someone passing by. Most days start with dusting off the shelves and checking what came in the latest boxes. It is just me and a couple of others here. We have all sorts of things like birthday cards, small toys, and stuff people buy when they forget an anniversary until the last minute. The street gets really busy in the evenings when the movies are playing. Sometimes I just sit on the stool out front and watch the traffic go by. It’s not a huge place, just a regular corner shop where people stop in to pick up a quick present. The lights inside are a bit bright, but it helps show off the wrapping paper. We spend a lot of time just taping boxes and trying to keep things tidy. Sometimes customers come in asking for things we don't have, and I just tell them where else to look. It’s a simple life here on Shingar Cinema Road. I know most of the people who walk past every morning. We don't do anything fancy, just open the shutters, sell some gifts, and close up when the sun goes down. The shop has that smell of cardboard and new plastic that you get in places like this. It is just what we do every day.
