Aman Communication And Mobile Hut

We called it Aman Communication And Mobile Hut, and we are located at Shop No 17 on the Gill Shimlapuri Road. It’s called a hut because it’s not very big, but we manage to fit a lot of stuff inside. The walls are lined with shelves that I built myself a few years ago. They are a bit crooked if you look closely, but they hold the boxes just fine. Gill Road is always packed with trucks and bikes, so the air is never really clean. I have a small bench at the back where I do the soldering and the screen replacements. It’s a lot of sitting still and looking at tiny components. Sometimes the local kids come in just to look at the latest models we have in the window, even if they aren't buying anything. I don't mind the company. I’ve got a small kettle in the corner for making tea because the day feels long without it. We get people from all over Shimlapuri coming in with phones that have been dropped in water or left in the sun. I try my best with them, though some are just too far gone. It’s a practical kind of life, just fixing things and talking to people who pass by. The shop is my second home, even if it’s a bit cramped and the light flickers sometimes.
