If you’re looking for our place, we’re over in Sant Nagar Tandalja. We are quite close to the Silver Oak Palace, which is a big landmark everyone knows around here. Working in real estate means a lot of walking around and looking at plots or houses that are for sale or rent. My phone is almost always ringing, usually someone asking about prices or wanting to see a place right when I’m sitting down for my lunch. It’s a small operation here, nothing big or corporate. We just happen to know the local area really well because we’ve been here so long. We talk to the neighbors, keep track of who is moving out, and who might be looking to move in next month. Some days are just spent doing paperwork and visiting government offices, which isn't the fun part, but it has to be done. Tandalja has changed quite a bit lately with more people coming in from different places. We try to be straight with people about what a place is actually worth instead of making things up to sound better. It’s a lot of back and forth, showing the same kitchen or balcony five times to different people. Sometimes a deal goes through smoothly, and sometimes it just doesn't work out at the last minute. That’s just the way this business works every day. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and trying to figure out the best way to handle things.
