A & A Rice & General Mill

Our mill, A & A Rice & General Mill, is out on Ludhiana Road by the R.K. Factory. It’s a bit of a drive from the main town, but that’s where you need to be for a mill like ours. The machines are loud and they run for most of the day. We process rice and do some general milling work too. It’s a dusty environment, and we’re usually covered in it by the time the shift ends. We have been here for a good while. The location works well for the trucks coming in from the fields. We don’t have a fancy front office with air conditioning. It’s more of a place where work gets done. You’ll see the stacks of husks and the big bags of finished rice waiting to be loaded. We have a few guys who have been running these machines since they were young. They know the sounds the engines make and when something needs a bit of oil. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We don’t do much in terms of advertising. Most of our work comes from long-standing relationships with local farmers and traders. We just focus on getting the milling done right so the rice is clean and ready. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know how to do. If you follow the road past the factory, you’ll find our gates. We are usually busy, but we always have time for a quick chat.
