Yummy Yummy Ice & Food

Over here at 122 Kishori Khera, we have our little setup. It is not a huge place by any means, but it keeps us busy from the morning until pretty late at night. We do both ice and food, which makes things a bit interesting. The kitchen side stays hot from the cooking while the storage side has to stay cold for the ice. It’s a funny mix if you stop to think about it. Most of the people who come by live right around here in the neighborhood. We know most of the kids by name because they come in after school looking for something cold to eat. The mornings are usually for the prep work, chopping vegetables and getting the food side ready for the day. Then the lunch rush hits and it gets a bit of a scramble for an hour or two. We try to keep things simple and honest. There is always something to clean or a delivery to check on. The street outside can get a bit dusty, so we are always wiping down the tables and the front counter. It is just a regular local spot. We don't have a big corporate plan or anything like that. We just opened up because we wanted to work for ourselves. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than we thought, and we just have to tell people to wait.
