The First Steps

We are located in C Block of Indira Nagar, right here in Lucknow. If you are looking for us, we are quite close to Eram Degree College and the girls' school. It’s a pretty easy spot to find once you are in the neighborhood. Our days start early when the sun is just coming up over the buildings. We spend a lot of time cleaning up rooms and getting things ready for whoever is coming through the door. The First Steps is just a place where things happen one day at a time. We have got some basic furniture and some materials scattered around the rooms. Sometimes the street outside gets a bit loud with the school traffic, but we are used to it by now. We aren't a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a local spot where we do our daily tasks. We deal with a lot of paperwork and people coming in and out. It’s not always perfectly organized, but we know where everything is. The walls have a bit of wear and tear, and the floor sees a lot of feet every week. We just keep the place running because that is what we do. Being near the degree college means there are always people walking by. We just focus on our own work inside. It's a simple life here in Indira Nagar, just doing the usual things for the kids.
