Kid'Z Gurukul Pre School

Kid'Z Gurukul Pre School is tucked away at House Number- 538 K/113 in Triveni Nagar. Lucknow is a big city, but our little corner here feels more like a quiet neighborhood. We are right in the middle of where people live, so a lot of the kids just walk over with their parents or grandparents. The house is set up for small children, which means there are always toys around and drawings taped to the walls. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s just how it goes with toddlers. We spend most of our mornings trying to keep them occupied and making sure everyone gets their snacks on time. It’s not a huge place, so you can hear what’s happening in the next room pretty easily. The staff here are mostly local women who know the area well. We don't have a giant playground, just a small space where they can run around a bit. During the rainy season, the street outside can get a little muddy, so we spend a lot of time cleaning floors. We aren't trying to be some high-tech institution. We just provide a place for the little ones to stay while their parents are at work or busy. It's mostly about the basics—learning the alphabet, playing together, and having a safe spot to be during the day. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to let the air in. It’s just a normal part of life here in Lucknow.
