Taste Of Village

Taste Of Village is situated in Lucknow, over in the LDA Colony area at Set-K 845. A good way to find us is to look for Aone Bakery because we are right above them on the next floor. You can often smell the fresh bread from downstairs mixing with whatever we are cooking in our kitchen. We like being in this part of Lucknow because it feels more like a community than the newer parts of the city. We chose the name because we wanted to keep the food simple, like what you might find in a smaller village rather than a big city restaurant. There aren't many frills here, just some sturdy tables and a kitchen that stays busy from lunch until late. We do all the work ourselves and sometimes our family members come in to help when it gets extra crowded. Being on the floor above the bakery means we have to carry everything up the stairs which is a bit of a workout every day. The neighbors are nice and we see a lot of the same people every day. We don't really have a mission statement or anything, we just open the doors and start cooking until the food runs out. It is just a normal life for us here in LDA Colony, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep things moving and focus on the daily tasks.
