Tamarind Food

Our place is down in the basement of Anurag Plaza in the LDA Colony area of Lucknow. It's not the easiest to spot from the main road, but once you find the plaza, just head downstairs. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice for Lucknow heat. We’ve been operating out of CP-5 set I for a while now. We go by Tamarind Food, and it’s a small operation focusing mostly on getting the food out to people in the neighborhood. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on people living nearby knowing we're here. The kitchen isn't massive, but we make it work. Most days it's just the sound of the fans and the stove going. We handle a lot of take-out orders since we're tucked away. The menu is stuff we know how to cook well without needing twenty different ingredients for every dish. We try to keep the prices fair so regular people can eat here often. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main markets. We just keep our heads down and cook. It’s honest work and we like being part of the LDA Colony community. It’s nothing too fancy, just a small local kitchen doing what we can for the people around here every day.
