Royal Food

Royal Food is tucked away near Hanumant Marble on Kanchana Bihari Marg. If you're coming from the Ring Road, you just look for the turn by Jagrani Hospital. We open up early to get things ready for the day. It’s mostly about the kitchen and getting the smells right. Someone is usually chopping onions or checking the stoves while the sun comes up. It gets pretty busy around lunch when everyone from the offices nearby stops by. The floor is usually a bit scuffed from all the feet coming in and out. We aren't fancy or anything, just a spot to eat that’s been here for a bit. The sign outside is a little faded from the sun, but people still find us. We keep a few tables out but it gets cramped when the weather is hot. You can hear the traffic from the main road while you’re sitting here. Sometimes the deliveries arrive late and we have to scramble to get everything set. It’s a lot of work staying on top of the orders and making sure the fridge stays full. We handle most of the cooking ourselves and clean up late into the evening. It’s just how it goes here. There’s always something to fix or a new batch of ingredients to sort through. We’re right at 529 Gha / 06, just a regular part of the neighborhood where people come to grab a bite without making a big deal of it.
