Most people in the Nilgiri Market area know where to find us. Atul Anna Wala is just a simple spot where things are kept practical. We get a lot of foot traffic here because of the market being so busy most days. It gets quite loud in the afternoons with all the rickshaws and people moving about. We started this place because we saw people needed some basic stuff without having to go too far. The shelves are mostly filled with things for daily cooking and a few snacks that kids like. We don’t really have a big team or anything, just a couple of us making sure everything stays in order. Sometimes the stock arrives late from the warehouse, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow for their favorite items. It’s a bit frustrating but that’s how small business works. The floor gets a bit dusty with all the people coming in from the street, so we’re always sweeping. We don’t spend much on advertising or anything like that. Word of mouth is usually how people find out about what we have. If you live around Indira Nagar, you’ve probably passed by our shop at least once. We try to keep the prices fair because we know everyone here is just trying to get by. It’s a tight space, but we make it work somehow. Every morning starts with the same routine of checking what’s left from yesterday and writing down what we need to buy next.
