You can find us at Safudin Ansari’s house, which is House No 30 in Muriyari. It is right in the village post area, so it isn't hard to find. We are just a group of farmers from around here who thought it was time to change how we do things. We aren’t some big corporation with people in suits. Most days you will see us in our regular work clothes, maybe with some dirt on our hands if we have been out in the fields. We use the front room of Safudin’s house to keep our papers and have our meetings. It gets a bit cramped when several of us show up at the same time. Muriyari is a good place to live, though the electricity goes out sometimes and makes it hard to see the ledgers. We deal with whatever crops the season brings, like wheat or rice or the local vegetables. It is just us kisan trying to run our own business for once. There is always plenty of talk about the weather and who has the best crop this year. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you knock on the door, someone will eventually come out to help you. We are mostly focused on the daily work and making sure the produce gets where it needs to go. It is a simple way of working but it suits us just fine. Muriyari is where we live and where we work, and that is all there is to it.
