V.P.R. U.P E.M School

V.P.R. U.P E.M School is in Panchalingala, which is near Kurnool. It is a small place. The school is a simple building that serves the people living around here. We don't have a big grand entrance. It is just a gate and a front door. Inside, the rooms are decent sizes. The kids are mostly from the local village or the nearby fields. They come in every morning, some walking quite a distance. We have the usual things like blackboards and chalk. Sometimes the chalk dust gets everywhere. The teachers are mostly local people too. They understand the background of the students. We have a small playground, but it’s mostly just dirt. The kids don’t mind, they play anyway. It can get very hot in Kurnool, so we are glad for the thick walls of the building. It stays a bit cooler inside. We don't have any high-tech gadgets. We just use books and talk to the students. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We know all the families in Panchalingala. It’s like one big group of neighbors. We just try to help the kids learn their basic subjects so they can move on to high school later. It is a humble place. The bell rings at the same time every day and we all head home to our families until tomorrow.
