A P Model School

A P Model School is located on Atmakur Road in Mullanpet. The "model" part of the name makes it sound fancier than it actually is. In reality, it’s just a practical school building where we try to follow the standard way of doing things. The building is painted a simple color and stands out a bit on the road. We have a fair amount of space for the classrooms, but they are pretty basic inside. Just rows of desks and some posters on the walls that the kids made. The playground is mostly dirt, but that doesn't stop anyone from playing cricket during the lunch break. We get a lot of dust from Atmakur Road when the wind picks up, so we are always cleaning the windows. The staff is local, mostly living just a few streets away in Mullanpet. We start the day early before the sun gets too hot. There’s no big cafeteria, so everyone brings their own lunch from home. We sit under the trees if it’s not too windy. It’s a very laid-back place despite the busy road outside. We focus on the basics of reading, writing, and math. We don’t have a lot of modern gadgets, just the usual school supplies. Parents come by to check on their children’s progress and we talk to them out in the hallway. It’s a very personal and local way of running a school in our little corner of Mullanpet.
