Indus High School is situated right along NH 7 on Gooty Road in Kurnool. Being so close to the national highway means there is always the sound of trucks and buses passing by in the distance. The school sits on a decent piece of land that allows for a bit of a buffer from the road noise. We have a main building where the classrooms are arranged by grade level. In the mornings, the school buses pull in and drop off students who come from various parts of Kurnool. The dust from the road sometimes blows in, but we keep the place swept and tidy as much as we can. Our classrooms are basic, with wooden benches and large windows to let in the light. The teachers here have a lot of work to do, especially with the older students preparing for their final years. Outside, there is a playground area where the kids spend their breaks. It is a typical day-to-day operation where the bells mark the change of subjects. We have a small staff room where the teachers gather to drink tea and check through notebooks. Most people know us because of our location on Gooty Road. It is an easy spot to find if you are driving toward the city. We keep our focus on the books and the daily lessons, keeping things practical and grounded for the families who send their children here.
