St Lourdes High School

This school is situated in the B Camp area of Kurnool, specifically in Madhavi Nagar. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it stays relatively calm compared to the main market areas. We’ve been operating out of this building for a good number of years now. The gates open early in the morning, and you can hear the chatter of students from blocks away. It’s a solid building with several floors, and we’ve tried to make use of every bit of space we have. The hallways are usually filled with charts and drawings that the kids have made. We don't have a big budget for fancy decor, so it’s all very basic and functional. The staff room is always a bit cluttered with notebooks waiting to be corrected. During the breaks, the noise levels go way up as everyone heads to the small canteen area or the open courtyard. We deal with the usual school problems like broken chairs or leaky taps every now and then. It’s a place where we know most of the parents by name because they live just around the corner. We don't do any big marketing; the school has just been part of this community for a long time. It’s just a regular high school where kids come to study and grow up. We keep things simple and try to do our jobs properly. Most of our teachers have been with us for a long time, so we are like a family.
