Riwaa English Medium School Holagunda

We are located in the 10th Ward of Rajabaksha Nagar, over in Holagunda. It’s a part of the Holalagondi area in Kurnool. The school sits right among the houses, so we are very much a part of the daily life of this neighborhood. Being an English medium school in a place like this means we spend a lot of time practicing vocabulary and speaking out loud. The building is a simple structure, painted a bright color to stand out a bit. Inside, the classrooms are often quite full because a lot of families in the ward want their kids to learn here. It gets very hot in Kurnool, so the afternoons can feel a bit slow when the sun is hitting the roof. We have a small staff room where we sit and grade papers during the breaks. The kids bring their own tiffin boxes, and the smell of home-cooked lunch fills the hallways around noon. We don't have a big fancy campus, just a courtyard where everyone gathers for the morning assembly. There are some cracks in the pavement and the paint might be peeling in a few spots, but the atmosphere is lively. We try to keep the kids focused on their books, even when there is noise from the street outside. It’s a very local operation, run by people who live right here in Holagunda and care about the kids in the 10th ward.
