Wendt (India) Ltd.

Over at 69/70, Sipcot, things stay pretty busy for us at Wendt (India) Ltd. Being in an industrial area like this means there is always a truck moving somewhere or another factory making noise next door. We’ve been operating out of these units for quite some time now. The morning shift usually starts with a quick check of the equipment. We deal with a lot of abrasive tools and specialized parts here. It’s heavy work, but it’s what we know how to do. The sun gets really hot on the metal roof during the summer months, so we try to keep the fans going as much as possible. It isn't a quiet place. You hear the hum of the grinding machines and the forklifts moving pallets around the yard. Sometimes we have lunch together outside when the weather is decent. There isn't any big secret to how we operate. We just show up, look at the schedule for the day, and get to it. Some of the guys have worked in Sipcot for twenty years and seen the whole place change around them. Our building is sturdy and does what it needs to do. We keep the floor swept, but with the kind of industrial work we do, there’s always a bit of dust. It feels like a second home to most of us because we spend so much of our lives within these walls, just keeping the production lines steady. We don't mind the noise much anymore.
