We've been at No. 58 in the New Sidco Industrial Estate for a while now. Most days here in Srinagar, Krishnagiri, it gets pretty warm, and the machines are always humming. We mostly deal with cables for vehicles. It is not fancy work, but it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. People around here know where to find us if they need something specific for their wiring. Sometimes the power goes out, or the trucks get stuck in the narrow parts of the estate, but we just get on with things. The team is small, just local folks from around the district who know how to handle the copper and the plastic coating. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the shop floor and some storage space. Most of our time is spent checking the machines or making sure the rolls are packed right before they head out. It gets dusty in the summer, and the monsoon makes the roads a bit of a mess, but that’s just how it is in this part of Tamil Nadu. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down a bit. It is honest work and we have been doing it for enough years that the routine feels right. If you walk past the SIDCO gates, you can usually hear our place before you see it. Bharath Auto Cables Pvt Ltd is just a regular shop doing its part.
