We are based at N-12 in the 3rd Phase of the Sidco Industrial Estate. At Cosmos Machining Technologies Pvt. Ltd., the floor is usually covered in metal shavings and cooling fluid by noon. It is a busy environment. We have several machines running at once, so you have to talk loud to be heard over the hum. Most of the guys here have been working in Sidco for a long time and they know their way around the equipment. We take on various machining jobs, mostly turning and milling parts for bigger companies that need precision. The 3rd Phase is a bit of a maze if you are not used to the turns. Our building is nothing special to look at, just a sturdy place to keep the machines dry and the tools safe. We have some older guys who can fix any machine with a wrench and some patience. It is hard work and the days are long, especially when we have a big deadline to meet. We don't do much marketing because word of mouth in the estate keeps us going well enough. If we do a bad job, everyone knows about it, so we try to be careful. Sometimes we have tea breaks together outside when it gets too hot inside the shop. It is a decent crew and we just focus on getting the dimensions right. No one wears a suit here. We just wear our work clothes and get on with the day.
