Z P High School

Our school is located at 5-9-83 on Shivalayam Street in Pedaravuru. We are a Zilla Parishad High School, so we are a government-run institution. The building is quite old and has that classic style with very high ceilings and thick walls. We have quite a lot of students because we serve the local village and the surrounding areas. The classrooms are basic, just desks and blackboards. We don't have computers or any of that high-tech stuff you see in private schools. One of the biggest parts of our day is the mid-day meal. We have a kitchen where the food is prepared for all the children. You can usually hear the clatter of plates and smell the food around noon. We have a large yard with some old trees that provide a lot of shade during the breaks. The teachers have a lot of work because the classes are quite full. We have to do a lot of reporting for the government departments, so there is always a lot of paperwork on the desks. The gate and the fences need some repairs, but we wait for the funds to come through for that. We don't have a website or any promotional materials. Everyone in Pedaravuru knows where the ZP school is. We just provide a place for the local kids to come and get their education. It’s a simple, honest place where we just do the best we can every day.
