A P Social Welfare Residential Schools

This branch of the A P Social Welfare Residential Schools is for boys and is located in Krishnaraopalem, near Nuzvid in the Krishna district. It is a place that feels very lived-in. Since it is a boys' school, there is a lot of energy and noise, especially around the playground area which is mostly just a big open space of dirt. The buildings are spread out, and the walk between the hostels and the classrooms can be a hot one during the summer months. Krishna district gets very humid, so the fans are always going full speed in the dorms. You see a lot of trunks and bags under the beds and shoes lined up near the doors. It is a very practical setup. The kitchen produces huge amounts of rice and dal every day to keep up with the appetite of all these boys. There is nothing corporate about how we run things; it is just a bunch of staff members trying to keep the schedule moving and making sure the boys are where they are supposed to be. The gate at Krishnaraopalem is a well-known spot for parents to drop off packages from home. It is a tough, simple environment where the focus is on the routine. There are no fancy gardens here, just the classrooms, the mess hall, and the places where the boys sleep and play after their lessons are finished for the day.
