Mamta Beauty Parlor

If you head over to Indira Market, you will find us at number 220. Mamta Beauty Parlor has been around this part of the neighborhood for a good while. It is a simple place where we do the usual stuff like threading, haircuts, and some basic skin things. The shop is not very big, so we have to be careful not to bump into each other when it gets crowded on Saturday afternoons. We have a couple of chairs and a big mirror that has seen better days, but it does the job. Most of the women who come here live just a few streets away, so there is always a lot of talking and catching up on news while we work. The market outside is always noisy with people selling vegetables and kids running around, but inside it is a bit calmer. We don't really have a fancy waiting area, just a few stools for people to sit on while they wait their turn. Sometimes we run out of clean towels if the laundry doesn't come back on time, but we usually figure something out. It is just us working here, trying to make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in. The sign outside Indira Market 220 is a bit faded from the sun, but you can still see it clearly from the street. We just stay busy and keep the floor swept.
