Gold Styleway Parlor

We opened up Gold Styleway Parlor here in Gumanpura quite some time ago. It’s a busy enough spot and we see a lot of the same faces coming through the door every week. The morning starts early for us, usually around nine when the first few people stop by before they head off to work or wherever they need to be. It’s not a fancy place by any means, just some chairs and mirrors and the usual tools we need to get things done. Most folks just want a quick trim or a shave without making a big fuss about it. We keep the fans running when it gets hot outside because Gumanpura can really heat up in the afternoons. Sometimes the tea stall guy brings over some chai and we sit for five minutes if there isn't a line. We’ve got a small radio that stays on most of the day, mostly playing old songs that everyone knows. People talk about the news or what's happening on the next street over while they wait their turn. It’s a simple routine and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that. Most people find us just by walking past or hearing about it from a neighbor who lives nearby. It feels good to know the people who live around here and help them out with a haircut when they need it. It's just a regular part of life for us now.
