Kumkum Beauty Palace

Kumkum Beauty Palace is located on Rangpur Road. It’s a busy stretch of road and sometimes parking is a bit difficult for the people who come by car. Most people just walk or take a rickshaw anyway. We’ve been here for quite a while and the shop has become a bit of a local hangout. We have a few old benches outside where people sit and talk while they wait their turn. Inside, the space is simple. We have the usual mirrors and some shelves for our creams and shampoos. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in town. We just want to do a decent job with the hair and skin work we do. My sister helps me out on the weekends when it gets really crowded. We often have the radio playing in the background to cover the sound of the trucks on Rangpur Road. The floor is tile and easy to sweep, which is good because hair gets everywhere. We don't have any big advertisements. People find us because they live nearby or their friends told them we are here. It's a humble way to make a living. We just keep our heads down and work. If we run out of something, we just go to the local market and get more. That’s how it works at our place on Rangpur Road.
