About Woring As A Facuty For Travel Academy – Education in Kolkata
I work out of a place at 23/1/1A Pottery Road in Kolkata. The name on the door is a bit of a mouthful, mentioning faculty work for a travel academy. Pottery Road is a busy area, and the building itself has a lot of character, though it’s definitely seen better days. Inside, it’s mostly about teaching people the ropes of the travel industry. I spend my time going over schedules, explaining how booking systems work, and talking about different destinations. It’s not a fancy school with a campus; it’s more of a focused, practical space where people come to learn a specific skill. The rooms are simple, usually with a whiteboard and a few rows of chairs. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy from the street outside, especially when the traffic is backed up. I've been doing this for a while, and it’s interesting to see the different people who come through the doors wanting to start a career in travel. We don't have a lot of high-tech equipment, just the basics that are needed to get the point across. The academy feels like a part of the local fabric here in Kolkata. We aren't doing big marketing campaigns. Most students find out about us through friends or family. It is just honest work, helping the next group of people get ready for the job market. It keeps me busy and I like the interaction with the students every day.
