Virudhunagar Biocrops Private Limited has a name that sounds like it belongs somewhere else, but we are actually located right here in Kolkata. Our office is at 5 Kustia Road, right by the Frank Ross Pharmacy. It’s a very busy spot in the South 24 Parganas area of the city. There is always a lot of traffic and people moving about. We focus on biocrops, which is a bit of a different thing to do in such a crowded city. We spend a lot of time in the office handling orders and talking to people who are interested in more natural ways of growing things. It isn't a huge office, just enough space for us to work and keep our files. The pharmacy nearby is a good landmark if you are looking for us among all the buildings. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It’s just us answering the phone and making sure the products get to where they are supposed to go. The air in the city is a bit heavy, but we have our little space where we try to do something good for the soil elsewhere. We've been at this for a while and we know the streets around Kustia Road like the back of our hands. It’s a lot of desk work and phone calls, but we know it makes a difference on the farms we supply. Every day is pretty much the same routine. It is a simple life in a loud city.
