Our shop is tucked away at 219-C on Old China Bazar Street. If you know the area, you know it's always crowded and noisy with people haggling and carts moving by. We've been in this spot for quite a while now. It’s a small place, literally filled with stock from the floor all the way to the ceiling. Bhopal Singh started this whole thing, and we just keep the wheels turning every day. We sell various goods, mostly what people in the market need for their own businesses or homes. It gets pretty dusty because of all the street traffic outside, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We open early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that squeak a bit when they're on. We know most of the other shopkeepers on the street by name. Sometimes we sit outside on small stools when things get quiet in the afternoon. Customers come in looking for specific parts or items they can’t seem to find anywhere else. We spend a lot of time counting inventory and writing things down in thick ledgers. It's not a high-tech operation at all. We prefer doing things the old way because it works for us. The stairs are narrow and the lighting isn't the best, but we know exactly where everything is kept. People trust us because we’ve been here so long. If you need something, you just come down to the bazar and ask for us.
