B C Agarwal Co is tucked away on Kattur Sadayappan Street in Periamet. The street is quite busy with a lot of leather shops and other traders. We have been operating from this location for quite some time. Our place is number 11/2. It is a humble setup, mostly just a storage area and a small counter. We deal with various goods that people in this trade need. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is worn down from people coming in and out. We don't have an air conditioner, just a ceiling fan that hums all day. Periamet is a place where everyone knows everyone else. We spend a lot of time talking to the other shop owners on the street. It’s more of a community than just a place of business. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one that's easy to miss if you aren't looking. We do things the old-fashioned way here. We write things down in ledgers and keep track of everything ourselves. It works for us. We aren't looking to change much. The business has been the same for years, and we like it that way.
