Bhagwan Singh Chundawat

My name is Bhagwan Singh Chundawat and I run my business from 33A Tarachand Dutt Street. We are on the first floor of an old Kolkata building. This part of the city is always full of history and a lot of dust. Tarachand Dutt Street is a place where people have been doing business for generations. It is not like the new parts of town with the malls and the shiny offices. Here, things move a bit differently. We deal in various goods, mostly wholesale stuff that comes through the local markets. The rooms have high ceilings and heavy wooden doors. It stays relatively cool inside even when the Kolkata sun is beating down on the street outside. I’ve been here for a long time, and I’ve seen the neighbors change, but the work stays mostly the same. We don’t have a big staff, just a couple of people who help with the accounts and the deliveries. We don't use much fancy technology, just what is necessary to keep things organized. People come by, we drink some tea, we talk about the prices, and we make a deal. It’s an old way of doing things, but it works for us. We don't need to put on a show or act like we are bigger than we are. We are just a small setup in a very old street, doing our best to stay busy every day.
