You’ll find us on the 2nd floor of the No. 5 Commercial Building at 23 Netaji Subhas Road. It’s one of those older buildings in the heart of the business district. C D Agarwal has been running from this office for years. The walls are a bit yellowed and the fans make a clicking sound, but it’s home for us. We deal in general trading and some financial paperwork. It’s mostly desks, stacks of files, and the sound of people talking on the phone. Being in this part of the city means it's always loud outside with horns and street vendors. We’re used to it. The office is a bit crowded with all the paper we have to keep. We don’t have a website that’s updated every day or any of that modern stuff. We prefer doing business face-to-face or over a quick call. Most of our clients have been with us for decades. We know their families and they know ours. It’s a very traditional way of working. We don't use complicated jargon. If a deal is good, we say so. If it’s not, we don’t do it. We stop for a proper lunch break and usually have some tea in the afternoon. It’s a steady pace. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to keep things moving and stay reliable for the people who depend on us.
