I’ve been working at the 4 Bankshall Street office for a long time now. This part of Kolkata is full of old buildings and history, and our office is no different. It’s right near the high court, so it’s always a bit of a scramble with people and taxis outside. Even though we are a large company, this specific location feels very much like a part of the old city. We spend our days dealing with tinplate sheets, which is the stuff used for cans and all sorts of packaging. It is a very basic but necessary thing. Our building has those high ceilings and thick walls that you only find in this part of town. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, and the noise from the street never really stops, but it’s a good place to work. Most of the staff here have been around for years, so we all know how the systems work, even if they aren't the most modern. We don't spend our time on fancy commercials or trying to sound like something we aren't. We just make sure the orders are correct and that the quality of the tinplate is what it needs to be. It’s a lot of responsibility because people depend on our materials for their own products. We just take it one day at a time here on Bankshall Street, keeping things moving in our corner of the city.
