Shubh Metamin

Shubh Metamin is located in Brindawan Garden on Christopher Road. We are in Flat 3/3 in Block B-1. It’s more of an office space than a shop. The garden outside is nice, though it gets a bit overgrown in the rainy season. Christopher Road is a bit tucked away, so it’s quieter than the main markets. We do our work from here mostly on the phone or through a lot of paperwork. It’s not a place where many people walk in off the street. We deal with minerals and metals. It sounds more complicated than it is. Mostly it’s just coordinating things and making sure orders go out. The office has a couple of desks and a lot of files. We try to keep things organized but sometimes papers pile up on the corners. Being in a residential block makes it feel more relaxed. We can hear the kids playing in the garden during the afternoons. Sometimes we have tea on the small balcony if the weather is okay. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We get to work around ten in the morning. The traffic on the way here can be a bit of a headache but once you are inside the gate it’s calm. We just do our business and go home. It’s a steady way to live. We don't need a fancy lobby. Just our desks and a good connection to the internet. We stay busy enough.
