The Padma Debi Metal

You can find us, The Padma Debi Metal, over at 220 M. G. Road. We are right in the heart of Burrabazar, which as anyone knows, is one of the busiest trading hubs around. The energy in this part of town is something else, with people and carts moving constantly. Our space is dedicated to metal trading, and we’ve been at this spot for quite a while. Inside, it’s mostly stacks of metal and ledgers. We don't go in for fancy furniture or air conditioning that works all the time. It’s a traditional way of doing business where we talk to suppliers and buyers face to face. M. G. Road is always loud, and the shop reflects that busy atmosphere. We handle various types of metal and deal with the logistics of getting things moved through the narrow streets of Burrabazar. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’re used to it. The walls are probably a bit dusty and the floors are worn down from years of heavy use. We aren't here to impress anyone with a showroom; we're here to trade and move stock. People come to us because they know we're at 220 and we've been part of the market for years. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and seeing what the market brings. It’s a straightforward metal business in a very old and active part of the city.
