The Educational Career Guide

We’ve been at 54B, S P Street for a while now. It is a decent spot in Kolkata 700004, though the traffic outside can get a bit much during the afternoons. If you look for us, we are right there, easy to find if you know the street. Most of the day is spent looking at different course books and talking to people who walk through the door. It’s a small operation. Just a few of us sitting around desks piled with pamphlets and application forms. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Word usually gets around the neighborhood. Students come in after their classes, sometimes still in their uniforms, looking for a bit of help with what comes next. It’s a lot of talking and listening. We try to keep things straightforward. No one needs a lecture, just some clear info. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. Kolkata is a big city and it's easy to get confused about where to go for studies. We just try to make that part a little easier. On rainy days, the tea stall nearby is a lifesaver. We keep regular hours. If the door is open, someone is here.
