We run our business out of a flat in Jadavpur, specifically Flat-4B at 6 Central Park. It’s a quiet residential area, which makes for a calm place to work. We deal with overseas trade, so there is a lot of emailing and international calls going on at odd hours. The flat is full of computers and filing cabinets. We don’t have a big storefront because most of our work happens through the screen or over the phone. It’s just a small group of us here. We handle the documents and the logistics for goods going back and forth across borders. It can be quite tedious with all the regulations and customs paperwork, but we’ve got a system that works for us. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp when we’re dealing with different time zones. The neighborhood is nice for a walk when we need a break from the monitors. We aren't some huge multinational corporation. We are just a local team doing international business from a flat in Jadavpur. We keep things simple and try to stay on top of the shipping schedules. It's mostly about making sure the paperwork is right so the goods don't get stuck anywhere. Sometimes the printer runs out of ink at the wrong time, but we manage. We just keep things moving as best as we can every single day.
