Tcl Company is based over in Shayambazar, right on Chowdhury Lane at number 5 A. If you know Kolkata, you know this part of the city is always full of life and a bit of history. We’ve been operating from here for a while now. The lane itself is one of those typical narrow ones where everyone knows each other’s business. It’s not the easiest place to park a big car, but we manage. Most of us walk or take the metro since the station isn't too far off. The building we are in has that old Kolkata feel to it. It’s got high ceilings and those thick walls that stay a bit cooler when the humidity gets really bad in May. We don’t have a big flashy sign out front. It’s just a normal workplace where we handle our daily business. Sometimes the tea stall down the street gets more traffic than we do, but that’s just how the neighborhood is. We like being part of this community. It’s loud, it’s crowded, but it feels like home. We’ve seen the shops around us change owners over the years, yet we’re still here at the same spot. We don't spend much time worrying about looking professional or corporate. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and head home like everyone else. It’s a practical way to run things without any unnecessary stress.
