Ashok Stores

Ashok Stores is located at No. 130 Old China Bazar Street. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know how packed it gets with people and carts and all sorts of things. It’s one of those parts of town that never really seems to go quiet. We’ve been operating out of this same spot for quite a while now. The building at No. 130 is old, like most things around here, but it holds up well enough for what we need. Every morning we roll up the shutters and start moving things around. There isn’t a lot of extra space, so we have to be smart about where everything goes. The light in the street is a bit dim because the buildings are so close together, but that is just the way it is on Old China Bazar Street. We know most of the other shopkeepers on our block. We talk about the weather or the price of tea while we wait for the day to get moving. It can be a struggle to get deliveries in and out because the road is so narrow, but we manage to make it work. It’s just how things go when you are in the heart of a place like this. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights, just the name Ashok Stores and our door open to the street. It's a humble way to make a living, but we are used to the noise.
