The office is up on the 4th floor of No. 40 Strand Road. Sanjay Company Associated Manufacturers India has been in this room, Room No. 1, for quite some time. If you’ve ever been down Strand Road, you know how hectic it gets with all the trucks and the heat. Climbing up to the fourth floor keeps us fit, though the elevator is a bit temperamental. We mostly deal with the manufacturing side of things, coordinating between the plants and the people who need the goods. It’s a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. The room itself is filled with old ledgers and files that have been there since the start. It’s not a modern glass office. It’s got high ceilings and those old wooden desks that weigh a ton. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in even when the windows are shut. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just make sure the orders go out and the machines keep running where they’re supposed to. It’s a simple operation at its core. Most of the staff have been here for years, so we all know how the piles of paper work. It’s just how things are done here on the fourth floor. It's loud, it's busy, but it's our daily routine and we're used to the rhythm of the road outside. It gets the job done.
