Tata Steel

We operate out of Sakchi House on Penn Road in the Alipore area. We are in Flat No 40 at 5A Penn Road. It is a quiet part of Kolkata, which is nice when you are trying to focus on complicated steel logistics. The building has a bit of character to it, being an older structure. Our office is fairly basic. We have the usual desks, some filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a corner for the water cooler. It is a place where people actually work, so it is not always perfectly tidy. There are papers everywhere and the printers are always running. We do not try to make it look like a showroom. We are here to handle the business side of things. Most of us have been with the company for a while and we just get on with it. Alipore is a good location because it is easy to get to, but it stays relatively calm compared to other districts. We do not use any fancy language to describe what we do. It is about checking numbers, making sure the steel orders are on track, and filing everything where it belongs. It is a straightforward environment with a team that really knows their stuff. We have been in Flat No 40 for a long time now, and it feels like a second home.
