Sunil Tube & Co.

Sunil Tube & Co has been sitting here at Shop No. 522 on Diamond Harbour Road for quite some time now. If you know Behala, you know how busy it gets around the tram depot. Most mornings start with the sound of the trams and the heavy traffic outside our door. Everything gets a bit dusty and loud out here, but that is just part of living in this area. My day usually involves moving metal tubes around and checking the stock on the shelves. It is definitely not fancy work, and the shop is usually cluttered with inventory, though we know where everything is hidden. People stop by when they need something specific for their plumbing or construction projects. Sitting on old wooden stools, we talk to the regulars who have been coming here for many years. Sometimes the humidity makes everything feel a bit slow, especially in the afternoons after lunch. A big office or anything polished like that is not something we have. Just the shop floor and a small desk where we keep the ledger is all we need. Most of the time, we are busy helping people find the right size pipe or tube. There is always someone asking for a specific diameter that requires us to go dig through the back. That keeps us on our feet all through the day. We have seen the neighborhood change a lot, but the shop stays pretty much the same as it always was.
