Sri Shyam Electronics

Sri Shyam Electronics is tucked away at No. 8 Madan Street, right in the thick of the Chandni Chowk and Princep Street area. If you know the Hindustan Building, we are quite close to that. This part of town is incredibly crowded, with people pushing carts and boxes everywhere. Our shop is small and packed to the ceiling with parts, wires, and various electronic gadgets. It’s hard to move around sometimes because of all the stock. We deal with all sorts of components, from small resistors to bigger boards. People come in looking for specific parts that are hard to find elsewhere. We don't have a computer system to track everything; we mostly just know which shelf has what. It can get pretty hot in the afternoons, but we have a small fan behind the counter. My father started this place, and I’ve been here since I was a kid. It’s a family thing. We don't have fancy displays or glass cases for everything. Most things are in cardboard boxes or plastic bins. It’s a bit chaotic, but it works for us and our customers. We stay open late because that's when the technicians usually finish their work and need parts. There is always a layer of dust on the older boxes, and the alleyway outside is always narrow and full of people. We’ve been here for decades and the shop has basically become my second home. It’s just how we do things in this neighborhood.
